Cathing

Postby mattsmom2 » Sat Feb 07, 2009 11:43 am

Hi, I am new to this forum. I am a parent of a 15 yr. old diagnosed with TM on Oct. 19, 2008. Matt has a false pathway in his urethra and the urologist wants to put in a super pubic cath to avoid it from filling with urine. It has happened before and has gotten infected. Is this a good thing to do? Does anyone know about these and is it a good idea to have one put in?

I've heard of them, and have heard that they can avoid many problems, but of course you always have to be careful about infection.
