What a Refreshing Place

Postby toserriethy » Thu Mar 19, 2009 11:30 pm

Hey everyone, it's been way too long since I've popped my head in to say hello to everyone. I've been around looking at all the comments and replies to everyone, but I haven't signed up until today Image ! This site has some of the best/most active members Iv'e seen on board like this!

I am hoping to start sharing ideas with everyone! And everyone is so nice (even though you dont even know me yet). It was nice reading about where everyone is at. I look forward to getting to know everyone as we exchange messages on this board.

I'm pretty happy to be here!

Hello toserriethy

Welcome and tell us about yourself. How long have you had TM. How are you affected. Any questions or concerns? Hope you are coping okay with TM. It is not an easy thing to do sometimes. However, we are all fighters.

Have a great day

Hello Torresithy,
Welcome to the club that no one wants to belong too!!!! Yes, tell us about yourself, we are all a pretty good bunch on here, very International group of 'plodders'...in the physical sense of course.
I'm 51/2yrs post onset and am 90% recovered, I'm a phlebotomist/ex Nurse by trade, emigrated from the UK when I was 14. I'm now 57 and NZ is very much my home. I have 3 grown up children, 2 boys and 1 daughter (my best friend).
My eldest son, Matthew lives with his wife Louise and 3 children in the UK, I travel over every other year to see them. My number 2 son, Mark lives in Hamilton here with Lee and their 2 children, and my baby, Erin lives in Auckland with her husband Steve.

We await your reply. Do you live in Holland?

Cheers
Keep well

i almost wonder if she posted in the wrong forum.. this being one for Germany, and the UK one right above it. Considering her post is all in English...

She hasn't posted anywhere else either...

Actually Maireke I wondered the same. Thats why I asked if she is in Holland, but of course I was also wrong, as it's the German site.
It was the tossing around ideas that got me thinking...we certainly have lots of ideas, but maybe not the ones she wants!!!

Anyway, I shared...

Take care, Heather and Marieke. By the way we must do a face to face call one day. I have signed up with facebook, now I have to reign in some contacts. I'm set up for Skype.

Cheers
Keep well

I have FB, as does Heather!!

add me if you like :)

my FB picture is the one with 2 cats, as there are 2 Marieke Dufresne (yes I know such a rare combo of names and there are 2 of us! AND we both worked at the same place and went to the same University just at different times!)
